Your name, phone number, country, city (if provided), email address, securely protected password and other profile information you choose to provide.
Payment and entitlement information
Purchase, transaction, plan, AI-credit and mock-test information. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store complete card or bank-account details on our servers.
Usage and technical information
Features accessed, practice activity, scores, feedback, device and browser information, IP address, logs, cookies and similar technical data used to operate, secure and improve the Platform.
AI interaction information
Audio, written answers, task details and related inputs you submit for feedback and scoring. This information may be processed by the service providers needed to deliver those features.
Support and coaching information
Information you provide when contacting support or communicating with us about coaching, including correspondence and agreed scheduling details.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create, verify, secure and manage accounts.
- Provide practice, scoring, feedback, mock tests, purchases and coaching-related services.
- Process and verify payments and maintain transaction and entitlement records.
- Personalise, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the Platform.
- Send transactional messages and respond to support requests.
- Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and violations of our terms.
- Meet applicable legal, accounting and compliance obligations.
3. Legal bases for processing
Depending on the context and applicable law, we process personal information because it is needed to provide requested services or perform a contract, because we have legitimate interests such as securing and improving the Platform, because you have given consent, or because processing is required to meet legal obligations.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent for future processing, subject to applicable law and any information we must retain for another lawful reason.
4. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the Platform, maintain account and purchase records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting or reporting obligations.
Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason it is held. When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely isolate it, subject to backup cycles and lawful retention obligations.
6. Service providers and disclosures
We may disclose limited information to trusted providers that help operate the Platform, such as payment processors, hosting and storage providers, AI and scoring services, authentication, email, security, support and analytics providers.
Providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their role and process it under their own terms, our instructions or other appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or as part of a legitimate business reorganisation.
7. International data transfers
PrepMyPTE and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy and data-protection rules may differ between those locations.
Where applicable law requires it, we use appropriate contractual, organisational or other recognised safeguards for international transfers.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted connections, password hashing, access controls, private storage controls, monitoring and software maintenance.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your password and devices and should contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law and your circumstances, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, objection to, or portability of certain personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
To make a request, contact support. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, transaction records, disputes or legal obligations. You may also have the right to contact an appropriate privacy regulator.
10. Children's privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorisation, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
11. Emails and notifications
We may send transactional or service-related messages needed for accounts, security, payments, test activity or support. Where we send optional promotional communications, you can use the unsubscribe method provided or contact support.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential service or security communications.
12. Third-party links
The Platform may link to websites or services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which you should review before providing information.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, risks or legal obligations. The current version will be published on this page, and material changes may also be communicated through the Platform or by email where appropriate.
For privacy questions or requests, contact our support team using the contact details provided on the Platform.
